Enthusing but Silly Happenings

I've finally got my laptop! I'm totally excited, now I just have to wait for this guy to call me back so I can ask him to get Microsoft Office on my computer, cause he only charges $75 for the whole package, instead of the usual $150 that you'd have to pay.

Bad news, I've been denied more physical therapy sessions by workman's compensation because "there is not any medical reason for the continued use of physical therapy, " which is utter bull****. I still can't lift over 10 pounds of my head, I can't regularly lift up over 12 pounds. In order to go back to work I have to lift at least 35 pounds! But my physical therapist is going to appeal the decision and I see my doctor on the 6th so he can send a statement to them saying I still need to go to physical therapy.

I have also done such a silly thing. I wrote to Matthew Gray Gubler. But I haven't sent the letter yet...It feels like such a silly thing to do. I'm not quite sure why. But then again, when I wrote it I got the feeling I get when I write a new blog post. That feeling that I'm talking to someone completely unbiased. It's a sensational feeling, really. Anyways, I'm still debating actually sending it.

I'm also getting all A's in my classes right now so I'm a "happy camper" now. I'm taking Criminology, Practical Creative Thinking and Information, Protection and Computer Security right now. And in 4 weeks two those classes end and then I start Forensic Science. Which I'm incredibly enthused about. I just wish there were theatre classes at the college here. Maybe I could find some acting classes with an company instructor or something.

Anyways, just wanted to keep true to my word and update at least once a week. When I have something better to write I'll post again!

Bad Day

October 8, 2009

Do you ever have one of those days where everything is going down the drain and then this one little thing goes wrong and you just completely go off on so many of the other things that go wrong?

Well today is that day for me. First, Twitter goes on freeze mode. Second, my mom tells me some things I don’t like. Third, I get all sorts of invites varying from the useless and stupid to the disgusting and gagging. Fourth, I log into a website and then BAM the puncher. My computer starts to go super slow and the two, I repeat TWO programs I have on go nuts and freeze and won’t close and I go bulged eyes, fierce sneering and a little nuts.

Not good. I’m a really patient person. Really. It takes a lot for me to get mad and I usually don’t have a temper. But today is just that day.

And I’m in the library so to make it worse I can’t kick my desk, swear out loud and curse anyone nor anything because I’d get in trouble and I’m almost to the point where I just don’t bloody care if I get in any bleeding trouble!

Who knew that a Thursday could be so bad? Oh. Speaking of which, my favorite, as of now, show will be on tonight. New episode of ‘Bones’ so that makes it a wee bit better.

So let’s see. I talked about my day, frustration and that bunch of crap I am no longer going to think about.

Ah yes, remember Jimmy? Well he’s here at the library again. I helped him out with a few things on his e-mail, computer and a few other things again. He used to go to computer science classes but had/has a learning disability and dropped out.

Did you know where they came up with calling a bug (AKA virus, problem etc.) a bug? It’s because the very first computer, which was bigger than my damn apartment, had a whole lot of switches for it. Well one day the computer had a problem, it wasn’t connecting.

So they got a whole bunch of technicians to check the switches to see what the problem was. Well eight hours later, yes I said eight, they found the switch that had the problem and saw what was causing that switch to screw up.

A bug. It was a literal bug that was stuck in the switch. That bug caused a whole lot of frustration. Much like today.

That’s what Jimmy told me.

2 Minutes

September 28, 2009

In my last blog post I wrote a few things about a few subjects, now I am to write a few things about myself. It’s hard for me, no doubt. I’ve a hard time telling people about me. I’m not sure why. I hate to talk on the phone. I’d rather talk in person, even though I’m not good at that either. I can be, but that’s not as often as I’d like. My mom and I share 1500 minutes, this month I used 2 minutes.

I like technology. It’s complex and interesting and exciting. I can not claim to know everything about cell phones, computers, machines and Internet browsers, but I know that basics so far, I hope to learn more. I remember when I bought my first phone, it was a crappy pre-paid phone but it looked so cool and I loved figuring it out. It even had a flashlight. But I like figuring out what you can do and find with cell phones.

Now, computers are harder and defiantly more complex, as I’m sure many people know, but I still toy with my laptop and desktop to this day. I’ve had the same laptop for about 6 or 7 years now. I’ve had the same desktop for almost 4 years, which I got for free! I’ll tell how and why I got it free later. But I am the only one who uses both computers. My mom is horrible with technology, I have to help her when she gets a new cell phone, but she gets the hang of it.

Mythology is a great love of mine. I love learning about myths. I hope to learn more myths from different countries. I mostly know Greek myths and such. Athena and Artimis are my favorite Goddesses and Apollo and Poseidon are my favorite Gods. I could go on and on about Greek Mythology but I am not going to just now. Maybe I’ll dedicate a whole blog post to that subject sometime.

Video games are not my thing. I know people who can play for hours at a time. My own brothers probably play 2-4 hours at a time or at least in one day. I think it’s insane. I played one computer game called Age of Mythology, and I liked it as something to do when I was bored but I’m just not too crazy about it. Though I do like The Da Vinci Code game my brother has for PS2 and a car game he has for PSP, but I like that game just because I can crash into the cops and then evade them and get money for it.

I have two best friends that I know I will always be friends with and always be close to. Though I still don’t tell them everything. I don’t really have the chance to anyway since they live in a different town than I do. Anyway their names are Auddy and Dyno. Well it’s their nicknames. I’m not going to put their real names on here because I don’t have their permission to. Actually, they don’t even know I’m writing a blog.

So that’s a few things. I don’t want to run on and on. I know short post. Deal.
